Let us introduce ourselves – we are sisters-in-law; Sharon and Helen Scott. We joined together to create Hopscotch Corner in 2009 to create a family-run business that puts children’s well-being at the centre of everything we do. Before we began our journey in childcare, neither of us had much experience other than caring for our own children. After having our children in various types of daycare, we decided we wanted something different; something that challenged children and gave them opportunities to grow and experience the wonders of everyday. Looking back at our childhood, we remember counting pennies at the local shop, playing by the river and running around in the woods. We hoped that we could incorporate all those aspects into our holistic approach to childcare and set about it!

Sharon and Helen took ownership of Hilltops Pre-School in September 2023. Along with the existing staff, they are continuing the legacy which has been running for over 20 years. Hilltops Pre School has always provided children with a warm, caring, experienced environment where children and parents are heard, something Helen and Sharon and all the staff at Hilltops feel very strongly about.
